Birthday shopping!

Uncle Davy and Auntie Suzy took Evie Lou shopping for her birthday present. It was so cute she picked out this little doggie and wouldn't let it go. She had a death grip on it! Then Suzy picked out a present and she was holding onto both presents like it was a matter of life and death. When we checked out we had to pry her fingers off the toys and she screamed until they were back in her little hands.

Eleven Months Old

Wow. Almost one year has past since this little girl came into our life. She continues to grow and develop each and every day. She talks up a storm, crawls really really fast, and has learned how to slide off the bed feet first. She is almost ready to be on the move. Food is still not her favorite but still has chunk on her. We have been battling this rotating cold. Mommy, daddy, and baby are ready for cold/flu season to be over! Mama has been planning for the BIG party and have lots in store for this little girl. She won't know what I going on but I hope there will be many photos for her to have and enjoy.
All in all baby is healthy happy and continues to put a smile on our face everyday! These pictures were taken in Minden where we spent Zach's birthday and Evie Lou got to go down a slide for the first time! She giggled the whole way down. A laugh that will melt your heart in an instant!

Saturday Stroll

I took Evie Lou out for a walk with her nifty walker. She went all the way to Fred's House Bar and back! She is gaining strength and stability. She will be walking before we know it. I just love getting to spend the day with her. She is such a happy girl!

Silly Daddy

Just found that during last diapy change Daddy put a newborn diaper on Evie Lou that I had left over. Needless to say poor baby had a major wedgy! Here chunky butt was spilling out all over the place. :-)

Cutest Photo of 2011

Just had to share.

Ten Months Old

First day of 2012 and 10 months old. We spend the day in Mammoth ice skating with Gabe and Nora Gamino. It had been many years since I had been ice skating and I think it was Zach's first time. Both of us looked silly waving our arms in an attempt to stay on our feet! Evie of course could not partake but next year maybe? She has changed so much in the last month. She now can say a few words; Doggy, Good Girl, no-no-no, and the most entertaining is tickle tickle tickle. She also waves hi and buy. Exhibiting multiple waves all of which are adorable. She is standing very well and sometimes balancing without holding on to anything, walking is just around the corner. She is getting proficient at crawling and from the sounds of it she takes after her Mommy and is a super fast crawler. I just started her on solid food but she isn't to into it yet. Some days she wants to eat and others she is lip locked. Evie Lou still suffers from chronic happiness which is often reported to us by the babysitter! The sweetest thing she has been doing lately is talking to me while nursing. She will be eating happily and something will come to her mind, she will feel the need to tell me mid-nurse, doey, doey, da, da... then resume nursing. There are 8 teeth in that mouth of hers and I just felt a molar coming in on the bottom. She has had a cold and a few ear infections but generally she is healthy and most definitely happy. The doctor suggested potty training early so I bought her a pink potty that she will hopefully learn to know and love. Mommy and Daddy do not like what solid food has done in the diaper changing department!
In short, she has brought so much joy and happiness to our life. Zach and I can't stop telling each other how much we love this little girl and every new development is better than the last.
I love you sweet girl, Happy First New Year!
p.s. Who needs a pacifier when you have a bottom lip?

Daddy's Castle for his Girl

A special castle for a special girl. Made especially for Evie Lou!
I think Daddy likes Evie's Presents more than Evie does. ;-)

Evie Lou's First Christmas

 Eating Aunties Christmas ornaments.

 Christmas Clan 2011
Merry Christmas!
We spent Evie Lou's first Christmas at Joann and Don's house in Fullerton. Christian, Drew, Davy, Suzy, Uncle Tim, Alex, and some friends were in attendance. We had a such a wonderful time. Auntie is the best hostess. Evie Lou loved to eat the wrapping paper. Even more than the presents she received. A few of her presents were homemade by mommy a Goose, Elf, Stocking, Owl, and Lamby, books, an awesome faux fur sweater, and her favorite a Tinker Bell dress from Grandma Carrie. She also received lots of toys which she also likes to put in her mouth. All in all we had a fulfilling holiday season surrounded by our family whom we love and adore. The best part was watching how Evie Lou brought so much joy to the people around her. Everyone loves her so much!
And so do Mommy and Daddy :-)
