First day of 2012 and 10 months old. We spend the day in Mammoth ice skating with Gabe and Nora Gamino. It had been many years since I had been ice skating and I think it was Zach's first time. Both of us looked silly waving our arms in an attempt to stay on our feet! Evie of course could not partake but next year maybe? She has changed so much in the last month. She now can say a few words; Doggy, Good Girl, no-no-no, and the most entertaining is tickle tickle tickle. She also waves hi and buy. Exhibiting multiple waves all of which are adorable. She is standing very well and sometimes balancing without holding on to anything, walking is just around the corner. She is getting proficient at crawling and from the sounds of it she takes after her Mommy and is a super fast crawler. I just started her on solid food but she isn't to into it yet. Some days she wants to eat and others she is lip locked. Evie Lou still suffers from chronic happiness which is often reported to us by the babysitter! The sweetest thing she has been doing lately is talking to me while nursing. She will be eating happily and something will come to her mind, she will feel the need to tell me mid-nurse, doey, doey, da, da... then resume nursing. There are 8 teeth in that mouth of hers and I just felt a molar coming in on the bottom. She has had a cold and a few ear infections but generally she is healthy and most definitely happy. The doctor suggested potty training early so I bought her a pink potty that she will hopefully learn to know and love. Mommy and Daddy do not like what solid food has done in the diaper changing department!
In short, she has brought so much joy and happiness to our life. Zach and I can't stop telling each other how much we love this little girl and every new development is better than the last.
I love you sweet girl, Happy First New Year!
